
Author Karen Romano Young will be the keynote speaker at the annual spring dinner for the Eastern Shore Reading Council on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
SALISBURY, Md. — The Eastern Shore Reading Council is slated to present its annual Spring Dinner on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in the Frederick Room in the Commons at Salisbury University.
The evening will be highlighted by award winning co-author Karen Romano Young, a 2016 Green Earth Book Award Winner for Mission: Sea Turtle Rescue. The books is tailored to spark interest in children 10 an up to connect with their “love of animals with their passion to help save them, discovering amazing true adventure stories, gorgeous photography, hands-on activities, fascinating information, and more.” Young’s work provides in-depth information about different species’ habitats, challenges, and successes, so that kids can take action to help save these amazing endangered creatures.
The evening will begin with a 5 p.m. social, followed by dinner at 5:30 p.m, and conclude with Young’s presentation at 6:15 p.m.
The cost of the event is as follows: ESRC member $20, non-members $25, and membership and dinner $50.
