Become a member literacy advocate and join the Eastern Shore Literacy Association (ESLA). The Lower Eastern Shore group comprised of Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester Counties is constantly at the forefront for supporting literacy initiatives and supporting educators who want to spark the passion of reading in children. ESLA is active in each of its three counties it represents partnering with multiple schools and nonprofit organizations in its pursuit to ensure books get in the hands of children and adults. In addition, ESLA offers professional learning opportunities focused on literacy at all levels.

At a nominal fee of $30 annually, you can become part of ESLA and support literacy initiatives with alongside these literacy advocates. Sign-up using the State of Maryland Literacy Association (SoMLA) online portal to become a member of ESLA.
