Mission Statement:
The Eastern Shore Literacy Association promotes a literate society by bringing together a network of people dedicated to sharing knowledge and information about literacy through programs and services.
Values:
- To promote literacy throughout the Lower Eastern Shore Counties (Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester).
- To encourage a habit of life-long reading.
- To foster mutual understanding and cooperative work among educators.
- To provide high quality professional development.
Goals:
- Provide books for children and young adults.
- Serve as literacy leaders between all schools and organization on the Lower Eastern Shore
- Build community partnerships and support local membership
