
The Eastern Shore Literacy Association is pleased to share an exciting professional learning opportunity for instructional leaders across the Shore. This summer, the AIM Institute for Learning & Research, in partnership with the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), will offer Cohort 10 of its highly rated Pathways to Literacy Leadership (PLL) course—at no cost to participants.
Designed for school and district leaders, PLL equips educators with the knowledge, strategies, and planning support needed to create lasting literacy impact grounded in the science of reading. This intensive professional development experience aligns with the International Dyslexia Association’s Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading.
Cohort 10 will be hosted in-person in Salisbury at the following location:

In-Person Session Dates:
- Wednesday, June 18, 2025
- Wednesday, August 13, 2025
Time: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET
Participants will also complete asynchronous coursework through the AIM Pathways platform between sessions, with suggested pacing provided to ensure progress through ten interactive online modules. In addition to expert-led in-person training, participants receive 12 months of ongoing access to PLL resources to support implementation in their schools or districts.
